Family offices today play an increasingly important role in wealth management globally. This award seeks to recognise excellence in this growing sector of the asset management world.
Best Fintech Innovation
This award is designed to recognise innovation within the growing sector of financial technology companies, ie innovations, new launches or new products within the Insurtech, and general Fintech world.
Best International Discretionary Fund Manager
Open to discretionary fund managers offering services on an international basis. The panel will take into account the growth of business, and range of products and services offered, including levels of service, use of technology and recent enhancements.
Best International Financial Centre
Open to international finance centres. In judging the panel will take into account enabling legislation, involvement at local and international level, future growth prospects and initiatives.
Best International Fund Group
Open to fund groups offering an offshore range available in the UK. Fund groups will be subject to an initial performance check by Morningstar. See Methodology for further information of criteria.
Best International Life Group (Non-UK)
Open to life groups that provide products and services to those in the non-UK market. The panel will take into account growth of the business, range of products, support to target markets, level of service, technology, recent product enhancements, involvement at industry level.
Best International Life Group (UK)
Open to life groups that provide products and services to those in the UK market. The panel will take into account growth of the business, range of products, support to target markets, level of service, technology, recent product enhancements, involvement at industry level.
Best International Pension Plan
Open to groups that offer international pension plans to individuals working and living abroad. In judging, the panel will focus on suitability, target market, benefits, service, technology and recent enhancements.
Best International Platform
Open to providers of platforms serving and supporting financial advisers, banks, wealth managers, life groups and discretionary fund managers.
Best International Portfolio Bond
Open to groups that provide offshore or international portfolio bond products cross-border. The panel will take into account suitability of product, target markets, product benefits and recent enhancements.
Best International Savings Plan
Open to groups that provide general savings plans that offer international investment solutions. The panel will take into account suitability to target market, product benefits and any recent enhancements.
Best International Trust Product
Open to groups that provide international trust products. The panel will take into account product launch, suitability, target market, product benefits and recent enhancements.
Best Protection Plan
Open to groups that provide life assurance protection plans. The panel will take into account suitability of product to target market, product benefits and recent enhancements.
Contribution to Diversity & Inclusion Award (Advisers)
This award is designed to honor the work of a company or an individual within from the adviser community (ie international IFA, advisory firm or broker) that has contributed towards helping accelerate the pace of change towards a more diverse and inclusive international financial services industry. Nominees will be judged against factors such as professional development, outstanding customer service levels and instances of excellent teamwork or leadership in their chosen field.
This award is determined by a combination of judges votes and readers votes.
Emerging Talent of the Year (Industry)
Open all persons under the age of 40 (as at the time of the nomination) in the international financial services industry (ie product providers, asset management companies and other industry service providers such as trusts etc) Nominees will be judged against factors such as professional development, outstanding customer service levels and instances of excellent teamwork or leadership in their chosen field.
This award is determined by a combination of judges votes and readers votes.
European Fund Selector of the Year
Open to all European fund selectors. Nominees will also be judged against factors including their proven ability to deliver excellence in portfolio construction, ongoing service levels to clients, along with their own professional development and adoption of clear, sustainable business models in their ongoing role. Selection is also based on European fund selector market data
Excellence in Advisory Best Practice (by region)
This category is intended to recognise wealth management/financial advisory firms located in and/or operating in any region of the world, which have not only adopted best practices on behalf of their clients, but have gone the extra mile to put in place practices that serve as a beacon for others looking to improve their own businesses.
Excellence in Citizenship Services (NEW)
Open to international citizenship service and product providers offering citizenship products and services on an international basis. This award is designed to recognise excellence in the increasingly popular cross-border citizenship services and products and services marketplace.
This award is determined by a combination of judges votes including a specially-selected adviser panel.
Excellence in Client Service (by region) - Advisers
Regional awards to acknowledge exceptional client service in the international financial advice sector. An overall global winner will also be selected.

Excellence in Innovation within International Financial Centres
Open to international finance centres. In judging the panel will take into account innovation within financial centres. An example may be encouraging growth in new markets with new and innovative creative campaigns or creation of innovative new products, services within that jurisdiction that stand out etc.
Excellence in Private Banking
Open to all wealth management companies offering private banking services and products. This award is intended to recognize service levels that go above and beyond the norm.
Excellence in Sustainability (Advisers)
Entries are welcomed from financial advice companies that are delivering products to their clients that are in the ESG marketplace.
Excellence in Sustainability (Industry)
Entries are welcomed from financial services companies and product providers that are delivering ESG products to the advisory/brokerage marketplace.
Excellence in Trust and Estate Planning
The award is designed to recognise the international financial services companies that have excelled in the Trust and Estate planning sectors.
International Campaign of the Year
A new category to recognise excellence in marketing. The award will be given to a single campaign that the judges find particularly striking and innovative, from any financial services company worldwide.
International DFM Fund/Product of the Year
Open to international discretionary fund managers offering products and services on an international basis. This award is designed to recognise excellence in DFM funds, portfolio construction and other products and services offered.
This award is determined by a combination of judges votes including a specially-selected adviser panel.
Personality of the Year (Advisers)
Open to all persons in the cross-border financial advice industry. Nominees will be judged against factors including their proven ability to deliver exceptional service levels to clients, and deliver improved service levels over time, along with their own professional development. And, if appropriate, how their leadership has helped move their business forward.
This award is determined by a combination of judges votes and readers votes.
