Africa Forum 2023

20 April | Cape Town, South Africa

Africa is one of the fastest growing regions for international cross-border financial services and International Investment is delighted to announce its inaugural Africa Forum 2023, which is set to take place on Thursday April 20, 2023 in Cape Town, South Africa.

At this must-attend event, we will bring together the region’s best-known financial advisers, wealth managers and other intermediaries to view a host of informative sessions from our industry sponsors, including on stage Q&As and panel discussions.

We will produce an on-stage live case study hosted by some of the industry’s key technical specialists, with break-out groups discussing and debating the key points.

You can expect discussions on topics such as:

  • Cross-border regulatory change
  • Industry and adviser consolidation
  • The future of advice
  • Citizenship
  • Life, pensions and savings
  • Professional services
  • Trusts and taxation
  • Fintech

The Advisory and Industry Q&A Sessions will feature industry experts and top level management from key advisory firms, discretionary investment, international life providers, key cross-border jurisdictions, employee benefits specialists and fund managers operating in the African region.

Who should attend?

Places at the event are reserved specifically for financial advisers and professional investors across Africa and the MENA region involved in advice and fund selection from a variety of institutions including:

Independent Financial Advice, Firm Insurance Broker, Discretionary Investment Management Company, Investment Consultancy, Private Banks, Asset Management Company, Family Office, Pension Fund, Retail Banks

Attendance is strictly limited to allow a highly effective platform for industry networking as well as the opportunity to discuss the latest developments in the investment market in an intimate setting.

Sustainability

International Investment is committed to the journey in becoming more sustainable. By using the guidelines set out by Ecovadis, we will be working towards the accreditation. The goal is to reduce paper consumption across events and improve recycling rates, curb food waste and alter menus with an aim to include locally sourced, organic produce. We have also committed to deliver carbon offsetting at events wherever possible and provide delegates with accessible venues. We will be closely evaluating each event and considering how we can improve in the following areas; energy, transport, water usage, recycling, economic and local environment/community.

Carbon Offsetting

Incisive Media have partnered with Ecosphere+ to ensure all our remaining greenhouse gas emissions are offset. Working with Ecosphere+, we calculate the emissions from all our events, including those from event operations, venues and delegates. We then purchase the equivalent number of carbon offset credits to counter-act our activities. These credits are supporting the protection of vital rainforest in Peru, by funding conservation work and creating sustainable sources of income for locals to minimise incentives for deforestation.
